• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details

We also collect usage data automatically, including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and interaction data for security and analytics purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the EvenHire platform
• Match job seekers to relevant job listings based on skills and experience
• Calculate and display employer and seeker trust scores
• Send transactional emails (application confirmations, status updates, password resets)
• Process payments via Stripe
• Enforce platform rules and accountability mechanics
• Improve and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Information Shared with Employers

When you submit an application, the following information is shared with the employer:

• Your name and email address
• Your skills, experience level, and certifications
• Your resume text and context note
• Your GitHub and portfolio URLs (if provided)
• Your match score for their job listing
• Your reputation score

5. Information Shared with Job Seekers

Job seekers can see the following employer information on job listings:

• Company name, description, industry, size, and location
• Employer visibility score and acceptance rate
• Whether the employer has been flagged for low responsiveness
• Contact email and website (if provided)

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some information may be retained for legal or compliance purposes.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing. Payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe and never stored on our servers. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
